You’re very practical and worry over money. How can he buy something he can’t afford? Someone must have some money somewhere.

I did this for my wife also last year. You have to understand that he really wanted to get it for you. It isn’t like you went out and told him you wanted a ring. Money comes and goes but for him your happiness means a whole lot more. Not wearing it might also hurt his feelings.

Because it was a gross example of impulse spending. Hello???? We are headed into a recession. Crazy move!

You feel bad because as us wifes and Mothers feel we must do without. You are worth every penny of that ring, or your husband wouldn’t have bought it for you. Now, I wouldn’t suggest doing it all the time, but enjoy times like this, that you will be able to look back on and just smile at them.

Why dont you thank your husband for the gesture and tell him that you really should not spend that much on a ring. I am sure you can find better uses for the money if your flat broke.

You feel guilty. You wanted the ring even tho it was expensive and now that you have it you are unsure. Wear the ring. be happy with it. If there comes a time when your mortgage is suffering or something in which you just plain cant afford the ring anymore you can always sell it back. until then I say enjoy the ring. Your husband loves you very much and thought the ring woudl make you happy. He did not expect you to be upset. I say be happy and enjoy it.. at least while you have it.

sometimes ya just gotta do something extravagant when broke. it lifts the stress and depression. if it is going to make a huge hardship for you perhaps you can tell hubby that as much as you love it you would be afraid to wear it and losing it. tell him that a lesser valued ring would be for suitable for you. don’t say its because you can’t afford it. that would make him feel like a failure. he wants you to have nice things. let him think its for other reasons.

Because you are a good person and a good wife…which also means that you deserve it.

Because you know you shouldn’t have spent the money on such a ring. If you’re flat broke then of course it’s going to bother you! In this day and age of materialism it’s hard not to get caught up in all there is around us to buy.

When my husband and I got married we didn’t have a lot except for each other so our rings were just simple gold bands which I love and treasure. Over the years we bought our own company and have a comfortable life but I still worry about money because I know it can all be gone with just one bad business adventure. At Christmas he bought me a beautiful wedding set that I know set us back a few grand and like you I felt guilty because I knew the money could go for the kids education or bills anything. When he saw that I was happy but hesitant he told me then that he loved me and it was what he wanted to do and I deserved to have at least that much for me after all I sacraficed for him and the kids. It made him happy to see me with it. Your husband got you the ring because he loves you and wanted to do something special for you. Wear the ring and think of him everytime you look at it. We are the lucky ones a lot of women would love to have a hubby who thought of them enough to do something like that.

Grow up. Return it. …and pay your mortgage off.

Because of how much it was. Its called buyers remorse … just enjoy the ring and the rest will fall into place.
